Save money and make your own Kombucha for $.07 a bottle! I made a video with a super easy to follow recipe. You can also print the recipe below. I included a recipe on how to make it from a store bought bottle. Also a recipe for making Kombucha with your own started juice and Scoby.

Kombucha from Store Brand Bottle
Ingredients
2 liter glass jars
8 cups water
3 black tea bags
2/3 cup sugar
2 paper towels
2 rubber bands
1 12 oz bottle of store brand organic raw Kombucha
5 glass 12 oz. bottles with lids
1 1/4 cup Fruit juice of choice
Directions
Boil water. Turn off heat and add sugar and tea bags to water, cover with a lid. Let sweet tea cool to room temperature. You will only need 1/2 of your store brand Kombucha, so you can drink 1/2 of it. Shake up the remaining Kombucha (6 oz.) and pour the rest into your glass jar. Then add your sweet tea cooled to room temperature to it. Cover with a paper towel then secure with a rubber band. Store in a dark cupboard for 2 weeks.
After two weeks, pour 1/4 cup of fruit juice of your choice into each of the 5 (12 oz) bottles. Take out your fermented Kombucha from cupboard, remove the paper towel and rubber band. If you have a tiny Scoby growing on the top of your Kombucha, use a fork and put in a separate jar to save for later. Carefully pour the Kombucha into each 12 oz. bottle that already has fruit juice in it. Save the remaining Kombucha juice, about 2 cups, and sediment at the bottom of your jar and add to the Scoby you took off the top. You can put this into the fridge for the next time you want to make Kombucha. Each of the 12 oz. bottles can be either put in fridge, ready to drink now. But if you want them extra fizzy put them back in your cupboard for 2-3 days max with the lids on tight. Then add to fridge and drink! Be careful when you open them, they may fizz over!

This sounds like such a cool idea, though have never tried it before.
