Here is my 15 minutes of fame! In the December 2020 issue of Ceramics Monthly you can find me being featured in an add for Cress Kilns! Cress reached out to me to see if I would be interested in being featured as an up and coming artist for their add. Ummm YES!!! What a privilege! Especially since in the ceramic world anyone that has any recognition has been well established and has many years of experience. I am seriously the happiest I have ever been. Learning about ceramics is never ending and I am just as please as can be so see the progress I have made in just a short time.

Hey Bess! Yes, I saw the Cress ad in the Dec. issue and went to your website. What a terrific way to log your fires and tribulations this way. Love your pieces too! My Cress is even older and I’m on my 12th fire (maybe?) It was a gift from a friend who had it sitting in his garage. I knew very little about the process but just started making pots. I had taken ceramics in college WAY back but wanted to get back to it. Now I can’t stop thinking about it. My results have been unpredictable, to say the least, but I’m trying something different every time. Who cares if it’s great or gross–I can always make more. I’ll be sure to check out your posts and will email a picture of my old Cress. Here’s to playing in the mud! Kenny Putnam
